About Dr. Devi de Oliveira

Dr. Devi earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Ithaca College after completing undergraduate studies in Clinical Health Sciences, also at Ithaca College. She brings extensive experience helping patients recover from injury, move better, and perform at a higher level. She specializes in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, primarily working with runners, triathletes, rowers, and active adults. She also works with athletes from youth to collegiate levels and enjoys supporting individuals who want a structured, thoughtful approach to improving their movement and performance.

Treatment Philosophy

Dr. Devi’s approach focuses on understanding the person in front of her and identifying their movement patterns and limitations to determine the root cause of their pain. She uses evidence-based treatments such as manual therapy combined with personalized strength training to help her patients return to their goals and activities stronger than before, while developing habits that support long-term progress.

Outside the Clinic

Outside of the clinic, Devi enjoys triathlon training, spending time outdoors, and eating good meals with her loved ones. Staying active and competing at a high level helps her relate to the challenges many patients face, including maintaining consistency, balancing recovery, and pursuing performance goals outside of work.

Why I Became a Physical Therapist

“I was a three-season athlete in high school who suffered injuries that were successfully treated with PT. At the same time, I was taking a sports science class, as I have always been fascinated by the human body and the science of movement. I saw that being a Physical Therapist would perfectly combine all my interests and experiences. What I love most is that it gives me the honor to be a part of someone’s journey to overcome injury, help them learn about themselves and their movements, and watch their confidence bloom!”
