At Next Level Physical Therapy in Hamilton, we believe lasting results come from understanding the whole picture, not just treating where it hurts. Our team takes the time to identify movement limitations, strength deficits, and compensation patterns that may be contributing to your pain so we can create a plan built around your goals.
Every treatment session is one-on-one with a licensed physical therapist. You’ll never be passed between providers or placed into a generic program. Your care is personalized, your progress is tracked closely, and your treatment evolves as your body improves.
Whether you’re an athlete, active adult, or recovering from surgery, our focus is helping you move with confidence again. We combine hands-on treatment, movement analysis, and strength-based rehabilitation to restore function and help prevent future setbacks.
At our Hamilton clinic, we don’t just help you recover from injury. We help you build a stronger, more resilient body so you can stay active, perform at your best, and get back to doing what you love.
Pain is often the result of how the body moves, compensates, and adapts over time. Instead of chasing symptoms, we connect the dots to uncover the root cause and build a plan that creates lasting results.
Hands-on treatment to reduce pain, improve mobility, and prepare your body for better movement.
Targeted mobility and recovery strategies that help restore movement and keep you active.
Correct movement patterns that contribute to pain, compensation, and recurring injuries.
Progressive loading to rebuild strength, control, and confidence for long-term success.
Whether you are recovering from surgery, dealing with chronic pain, or trying to return to an active lifestyle, our goal is not just short-term relief — it is helping you move with lasting strength and confidence.

Competitive athletes and active individuals looking to recover from injuries, improve performance, and stay healthy year-round.
People balancing work, family, and fitness while dealing with aches, pains, or movement limitations.
Personalized recovery plans designed to restore strength, mobility, and confidence after orthopedic procedures.
For ongoing back, shoulder, knee, or neck pain that continues to return despite previous treatment attempts.
Whether you’re an athlete, active adult, post-surgical patient, or someone dealing with recurring pain, our team is here to help you move better and return confidently to the activities you enjoy.
At Next Level Physical Therapy, we help patients throughout Hamilton, Robbinsville, Princeton, East Windsor, West Windsor, Mercer County, and surrounding communities recover from pain, restore movement, and return to the activities they enjoy. Our team treats a wide range of orthopedic injuries, mobility limitations, sports-related conditions, post-surgical cases, and chronic pain issues through individualized, one-on-one care designed around your goals.
Back pain can develop from many different factors including mobility limitations, movement compensation patterns, repetitive stress, sports injuries, lifting mechanics, postural demands, and previous injuries. Whether you are dealing with stiffness, muscle spasms, sciatica symptoms, disc-related pain, or recurring flare-ups, our team focuses on identifying the underlying movement issues contributing to your symptoms.
Rather than focusing only on where the pain is felt, we identify the movement restrictions, strength deficits, and compensation patterns that may be keeping symptoms around. Through hands-on care, progressive strengthening, and movement-based rehabilitation, we help patients return to exercise, work, sports, and daily activities with greater confidence and less discomfort.
Knee pain can develop from sports injuries, overuse, post-surgical limitations, strength deficits, running mechanics, mobility restrictions, or movement compensation patterns elsewhere in the body. We commonly help patients dealing with ACL injuries, meniscus irritation, patellofemoral pain, tendon pain, and recurring knee discomfort.
We take a root-cause approach to knee pain by evaluating how the hips, ankles, strength levels, and movement mechanics influence stress on the knee joint. By improving mobility, control, and lower-body function, we help patients return to running, lifting, training, and everyday activities with confidence.
Hip pain can affect everything from training to running, lifting, and athletic performance. We commonly help patients dealing with hip impingement, labral irritation, muscle strains, stiffness, mobility limitations, tendon pain, and movement-related hip discomfort.
Our team focuses on connecting the dots between hip mobility, core stability, lower back function, and overall movement quality. Through individualized treatment and strength-based rehabilitation, we help patients improve performance, reduce irritation, and return to the activities they enjoy most.
Shoulder pain commonly affects athletes, gym-goers, active adults, and individuals performing repetitive overhead activities. Conditions such as rotator cuff irritation, impingement, labral injuries, instability, and post-surgical stiffness can significantly impact strength, mobility, and daily function.
Because shoulder pain is often influenced by how the entire upper body functions, we evaluate movement patterns beyond the shoulder itself. Treatment focuses on restoring mobility, improving strength and control, and helping patients confidently return to lifting, sports, work, and everyday activities.
Neck pain and headaches are often influenced by posture, breathing mechanics, mobility limitations, muscle tension, repetitive movements, and movement compensation patterns throughout the body. Symptoms may include stiffness, tension headaches, pain with turning the head, radiating discomfort, or recurring tightness around the neck and shoulders.
Instead of treating symptoms alone, we assess the movement and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to recurring neck pain and headaches. Through targeted mobility work, strength training, and hands-on treatment, we help patients improve function, reduce tension, and move with greater confidence.
Ankle and foot pain can significantly impact walking, running, exercise, sports performance, and daily movement. We commonly help patients dealing with ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon pain, foot stiffness, instability, and recurring ankle injuries.
Successful recovery requires more than treating the foot or ankle alone. We evaluate balance, strength, mobility, and movement patterns throughout the lower body to improve function, reduce reinjury risk, and help patients confidently return to running, sports, training, and daily life.
Elbow and wrist pain commonly develop from repetitive movements, sports activities, lifting, gripping, typing, or compensation patterns involving the shoulder and upper body. We frequently help patients experiencing tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, tendon irritation, wrist stiffness, nerve-related symptoms, and movement limitations affecting daily function.
Our treatment approach focuses on addressing the loading patterns, movement habits, and strength deficits that may be contributing to ongoing irritation. Through personalized rehabilitation and movement-focused care, we help patients reduce pain and return to work, exercise, sports, and everyday activities.
Sports performance and return-to-sport training bridge the gap between rehabilitation and full athletic performance. At Next Level Physical Therapy, recovery does not stop once pain decreases. We continue progressing strength, movement quality, conditioning, and sport-specific performance so athletes can confidently return to competition and training.
Our performance-based approach helps athletes bridge the gap between feeling better and being fully prepared for the demands of competition. By progressing strength, power, conditioning, and sport-specific movement, we help athletes return to training with confidence while reducing reinjury risk.
Explore the conditions we commonly treat and learn how our root-cause, movement-focused approach helps patients throughout Hamilton and Mercer County return to the activities they enjoy with less pain and greater confidence.
Your experience at Next Level Physical Therapy starts with a comprehensive one-on-one assessment. We take the time to understand your story, learn about your goals, evaluate how your body moves, and identify the factors contributing to your pain or limitation.
Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, we connect the dots between mobility, strength, movement patterns, and lifestyle demands to uncover the root cause of the issue.
Based on your assessment, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan designed around your goals, whether that means returning to sports, getting back to the gym, recovering after surgery, reducing chronic pain, or moving through daily life with more confidence.
We start by understanding your symptoms, goals, activity level, and injury history.

I had a great experience at Next Level Physical Therapy. My PT, Dr. Joe was fantastic. He took time to listen to me, my concerns and to work with me on an a plan that was specific to my needs. Far beyond "traditional" PT, at Next Level you get individualized attention for the duration of your session. I have gotten better results at Next Level that I've gotten at all the the other PTs I have gone to combined. Highly recommend!
I am so grateful I found the Next Level Team in Hamilton. I tried the traditional route and it didn’t work for me. I came to them with chronic back and knee pain and after seeing Dr. Erin for 4 months I feel like I can do a lot more and overall move so much better! Dr. Erin is the kind of tough you need, very smart and easy to get along with! My experience has been very enjoyable and I am really happy with my progress thus far.
This place is a lifesaver. Huge thanks to Dr. Joe Risoli! I’m a 32-year-old contractor and have been working physically hard for the past 13 years. Over the years, I developed multiple problems with my lower back, upper back, neck, shoulder, and knee. Five years ago, it got so bad that I wasn’t even able to pick up my 2-month-old daughter from her bed without pain. I spent about four months working with Joe, basically learning from scratch how to move and work properly. We corrected my posture, worked on muscles that weren’t functioning properly, and went step by step through all the issues I had. When I first came in, I honestly felt hopeless. Remodeling is what I know best, and I can’t simply replace myself in the field. After my first visits, Joe told me he would help me, and I trusted him. What impressed me the most is that Joe wasn’t just trying to make the pain go away. He actually worked to find the reasons behind it. We worked hard on changing the way I move, work, and use my body every day. Even with my very busy work schedule—and even though I wasn’t always consistent with my exercises—I kept getting better and better every month. Now, when I wake up in the morning and can lie freely on my back without pain, I feel blessed and happy that I made one of the best decisions of my life: giving physical therapy another chance. Before Joe, I had tried massage therapists, chiropractors, and physical therapy through insurance, but I never had anyone help me as much as Dr. Joe Risoli did. Thank you so much, Joe. You are a very thoughtful and caring person who truly wants to help people and provide the best treatment possible. I’ll continue working on my body using everything I learned from you. I hope I see you again—but not as a patient! 😊
I had visited 3 prior physical therapists across 2 years for recurring leg pain as a runner without any relief. After my time with Dr. Joe Risoli I feel stronger, faster, and most importantly pain free.
Leor and Tom are really awesome! Thanks for helping me take my life back 💪 The PTs at Next Level put in a lot of effort to understand your situation and carefully craft a plan that work with you to help you attack your pain. Next Level is truly the best PT clinic I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few.
Dr. Tom was amazing. Went in with an impingement in my shoulder and I was feeling great within weeks. Great working with him always high vibes in the gym as well. Weekly exercises were sent to do at home which kept me on track with my recovery. Also a positive was he was very flexible with my schedule, he would always make time for me if I needed a last minute time switch.
For about 4 years, I have been experiencing terrible (left) knee pain. I started to develop an obvious bump under my knee cap. I saw many doctors, had x-rays and mri’s done. Scripts for Physical Therapy were ordered, and I went for weeks. But the pain persisted, and the bump grew. I stopped all my favorite activities (tennis, pickleball, walking, burpees, squats, lunges, avoided stairs, etc.) and sat around resting my knee for a few weeks feeling hopeless. Majority of my time I spent surfing YouTube videos. An advertisement kept popping up by Dr. Mike @Next Level Physical Therapy of Mercer County. I skipped the ad many times until one day I heard the words “active adult experiencing ongoing pain….” And I finally stopped and watched and listened to the whole video. Dr. Mike described me! At this point I had nothing to lose so I called Next Level for an assessment. BEST decision ever!!! I was introduced to Dr. Cole Housel for my assessment and my life would be forever changed. Dr. Cole took his time to get to know me and my goals for my active lifestyle. After the physical assessment he told me two pieces of good news. The first, was that I did not need surgery! The second, he identified the problem and was confident he could help me get rid of my knee pain. YAY! I was so elated and now hopeful for the first time in a long time. He taught me that my knee was compensating for an issue with my hip. At every session, Dr. Cole listens attentively to me, is always positive even when I am not, and takes an interest in my life especially my passion for Pickleball. I truly believe I would not have won a tournament medal without Dr. Cole teaching me how to move my body safely and effectively. When we first started, I just wanted to stop suffering and start moving again. Working with Dr. Cole, I learned so much about body movement. I feel like I gained a supportive friend who keeps me focused and motivated to achieve the best injury free active lifestyle. Please, if you are in pain and want to keep moving, work with Dr. Cole Housel. He really is an expert in his field and understands how the human body should move. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: August 2026 Back again! This time to rehab a broken ankle. Another fantastic experience with Dr. Joe Risoli. He created a custom recovery plan, explained each exercise with video examples so I can do work at home and he got me out of my boot in record time which made me so happy! I am able to get back to all the things I love to do like playing pickleball. Also, Jenn who works the front desk was very friendly and professional. Next Level Physical Therapy Hamilton office is clean, bright, well equipped and has the best staff!
Had a great experience at Next Level PT/ Hamilton with Dr. Tom. After numerous, unsuccessful attempts at healing with traditional PT programs at other clinics, I finally found relief from the tingling/numbness/heaviness in my leg and foot due to bulging discs thanks to the therapies prescribed by Dr. Tom at Next Level. At my first appointment, he listened intently as I explained my symptoms and performed a comprehensive examination to evaluate my issues. Together, we set both short and long-term goals and created a plan to achieve them. By following Dr. Tom's prescribed stretches and exercises, I'm finding continued relief of my symptoms with each passing week. I have no doubt that his in-clinic therapies and personalized PT plan will get me back to optimal health and enable me to reach my fitness goals. Thanks Dr. Tom!
I have had a great experience at Next Level! I’ve been going here for the past 7 months for shoulder rehab after a friend recommended I go there and I’m happy I listened! I am a collegiate athlete and tore my labrum. After surgery, my goal was to be 100% ready to play by the time the season started and they got me there! Everyone is super nice, welcoming and they really put in the time and work to help you out! While I would recommend anybody there, Dr. Erin has been my PT and is amazing!!!
Rehabbing at Next Level has been amazing! Everything is very one on one oriented and the facility and equipment are great!
