About Dr. Daniel Tum Suden

Dr. Daniel earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Widener University after completing undergraduate studies in Biology through Widener’s 3+3 accelerated program. He brings a strong foundation in evidence-based rehab and a passion for helping people move with confidence. Dr. Daniel specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation and sports performance, working with athletes of all levels including powerlifters, field sport athletes, and active adults who want to return to the activities they love. His experience with competitive lifters and strength athletes across various sports has given him a practical understanding of how training demands, volume, and technique influence both injury risk and long-term progression. He enjoys helping individuals develop a structured approach to movement and strength that supports both performance and everyday function.

Treatment Philosophy

Dr. Daniel focuses on blending evidence-based techniques with individualized training and performance strategies, helping each patient return stronger and well prepared for the demands of their goals. He works to make the rehab process clear and straightforward by explaining how each component of the plan supports recovery and long-term progress. His approach emphasizes steady progression, appropriate loading, and practical guidance that helps patients understand how to move forward both in and outside of the clinic.

Outside the Clinic

Outside of the clinic, Daniel competes in powerlifting at a national level and coaches powerlifters. Being involved in the sport keeps him connected to the training world and gives him continued exposure to the dynamics of strength development, adaptation, and workload management. His own training experiences help him appreciate the patience, planning, and discipline that often parallel the rehab process, and he enjoys bringing that perspective into his work with patients.

Why I Became a Physical Therapist

“I have always been active and believed movement is medicine. The only logical step was to go into PT and use this passion to help people move better and feel better.”
